Eclipse 145s
« on: March 03, 2013, 09:13:00 PM »
I picked some up recently and mounted them this weekend. I'm impressed. They're easy to sharpen and are flying true.

From my thread searches, I know a lot of you guys also use them. Are you modifying the tips at all???

Also, kudos to Braveheart for swift shipping and taking the time to answer my many questions.

I don't change the tip at all. The four blade is one of my favorites!!

I modified a few of mine, found it to be a waste if time.  The tips come as tuff as you will need them.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Great heads, no need to modify tehm. The new ones are  little narrower, the old gray ones were 1-5/16 new ones are barely 1-1/4. Wish they would make a 160-175g.

Good broadhead! Strongest tip out there from the factory due to the geometry of the blade.

I like em.  Picked some up along with some STOS 145's recently and em very happy, both sharpen extremely well.

Mine are right at 1 5/16"

I agree with you...a bit wider and in 175 would be nice.
