Gt 3555s in 45lb bows...advise

My bows are 45lbs with B50 strings.  My draw length is 29".  My GT 3555s are 30" with 125 grain points.  I don't have any particular problems, but any advise on a simular combination will be appreciated (point wt. etc).  Thanks in advance.

You shooting them out of a center cut bow? Past center?

I shoot them out of 48-50# longbows cut to and proud of center with fast flite strings, 175 grains up front (50 grain brass insert and 125 grain point), at 28 inch draw.  Excellent arrow flight.  Your longer draw length should put them in the same ball park.

I shoot them out of 4 of my longbows bows, from 47 to 50@28, I use 30in, w 50grn insert, w 125pts or 100grn  points! great arrow flight!

I shoot 47# at 28" draw & 3555's. I have a 150gr. point (I shoot 150gr. Woodsman's) and an aluminum insert. I also have 70 grains of the GT weights in the shaft behind the insert. I am going to buy some brass inserts to replace the aluminum and then just cut down my weights.
I cut my shaft the length I wanted it to be and decided what broadhead I wanted to shoot then bare shaft tuned my shafts using the weight system. My arrows fly like darts. Saw Ken Beck do this at G.Fred Asbell Clinic. bareshaft.

I shoot my 45 lbs at 29 inch (my drawlenght)hybride bow, cut close to center, with GT Traditionals 1535, 30.5 BOP, standard insert, 100 grains point, 10 grains crownpaint, three 5 inch shielded feathers, standard GT nock.
I bareshafted with a 17 grains weight in the hollow nock an got a perfect flight on 20 yards. With the feathers fletched I leave the nockweight out, this gives me a better flight. This makes sence since three feathers weigh 10 grains.

I too shot 45# bow draw to 29" and had great results with GT 35/55 cut to 29 1/4", four 4" fletch, a 50 grain insert, and 145-175 grain tips.
I also get great results with GT 15/35,cut 29", an al insert and 145gr tips. Either flys great.

I would definitely say you need a lot more point weight. I shoot 35/55's cut to 29.5"s out of several of high performance bows all cut past center. I draw 28.5" and shoot 52-54#s and use point weight depending on exact bow from 175-225 grain point weight. Remember 3 big feathers correct a lot of bad flight. Shawn

I shoot 3555's out of my bows ranging from 45-47 pounds at my 28" draw mine are cut to 29.25 with 50 gr brass inserts and 145 gr points. Take Shawn's advise as he is the guy that originally help set me up.

Shooting out of a cut past centre riser with those shafts from 32-47# can't say I saw a big performance difference between 85gn to  tips off a B50 string - the moment I used a bow not cut past centre & a faster string (8125) is when I saw spine probs so I'd guess you can choose tip based on what you like if its working right now -M

I draw 29 inches and a 30 inch 3555 with 125gr up front out of my 48-50 lb bows is borderline weak for me.

5575's give me a lot more options WRT being able to tune 45-50 lb bows.  I can throw a bunch more weight on the front, use weight tubes, go with a longer shaft etc....

For one thing if you change your string from B50 to FF you will get better performance, and more than likley change your arrow profile.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Too stiff. I bet you need over 200gr.

You might consider leaving your arrows full length.
