Bow Fishing Set Up
« on: March 18, 2013, 06:50:00 PM »
I am eager to get out and do a little bow fishing this year. This is something that is new for me. I would like to take one of my older recurves and get it setup for bow fishing. I live in Utah so carp will be the target species.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
I prefer wild organic meat!

A one piece recurve is a good choice. Not too short.
The riser is sturdy enough to,add inserts as needed for mounting reels.
After almost 50 years of bow fishing I have some opinions.
I way preferred a side mounted reel,seat.
I use the spinning reels but either way the, side mount is better for control

Do search here there have been a,few threads..
