barefoot hiking boots

I'm definitely looking for lightweight shoes with more of a barefoot feel. For hunting and general use. I'm tired of heavy, clunky, loud boots.

I'm interested in the Vivo barefoot hiking boot, but am wary of the price and wonder about how resilient they are...

As I recall the five finger shoes are deigned to be machine washable.

These all look heavier with less ability to feel ground than my unisulated Maine hunting shoe from bean

those maine boots look like the ticket for me, we live in a coastal rain forest here.
i alsolike that they do a wider boot

how well do they grip, or are they slippery.

southern Ohio fall and spring both pretty wet and a lot of hills haven't found slipping to babe problem.  One piece of advice is buy small they run big. I may order size 10 next and usually wear an 11  very good feel of ground and waterproof

ll bean's Maine hunting shoe uninsulated. I've looked at posts of moccasins but fear the leather bottoms would get real slick in muddy hillsides. I've thought about the shoes that have separate toes for warm weather turkey hunting and just let my feet get wet.  But always go back to Maine hunting shoes as Fred asbel suggested in the ground hunters bible

I think they might get a bit hot over hear I'm still leaning towards the mini-mil mainly because they are available in a bigger size.
Do any of the sponsers hear sell mimilists foot wear
