Meet & Greet Howell, MI area
« on: March 29, 2013, 12:43:00 PM »
Good day. Would like to propose a get together.  I've learned a lot here over the past year and would like to meet other members in the area.  There's a great spot off 96 and D-19 with 68 taps. Timeline - any afternoon between April 2-6.  Whatever works best for those interested.   :campfire:  Rudy

I'm not a fan of the bar thing, but getting together at trad shoots and/or hunts with fellow Trad Gangers is always fun.  Hopefully, some will take you up on your offer though.  Have fun!

I work in Howell and live in Fowlerville. A bunch of us here shoot on Monday nights in Lansing at the Demmer Center and you are more than welcome to join us. We only have a couple weeks left so I wouldn't wait.

Is it a league or open shooting. What is the cost, time of the shoot? I work in Lansing but live 25 miles northwest. I had heard a year ago they were trying to get a trad league going at the Demmer Center.

T Folts,

Will plan to join in on Monday.  I see on the Demmer site that you start at 5:30. Thanks

Kill shot, D-19 is one of two Howell exits between Fowlerville and Brighton.

Haha Bjorn, too bad would like to see first hand that '59 Kodiak recently posted.   :wavey:

Its kind of a drop in league, anyone is welcome. The doors open at 5:30 and shooting starts at 6:30. The cost is $8.00. You need 5 arrows. We shoot 60 arrows altogether. Come on out..

Rudy,

If you shoot a longbow, the MLA has an incredible shoot for members the first weekend of May just up US 23 at exit 77. Land-O-Lakes Bowmen.

I remember Terry shooting a Robin Hood last week with one of those outstanding longbows that he builds. Great shot on his partners arrow! This is a great league, you just missed our swap meet, lots of good equiptment sold.

Bummed, feel like I've been beaten and left out in the cold wet. Was looking forward to my first trad shoot, instead spending time staring at porcelain    Thanks for the invite, will plan on next week.

I was able to make the last night of shooting at the Demmer Center and had a great time sticking targets and meeting plenty of fellow archers. Thanks fellas for making me feel like I wasn't crashing the party.  Small world; met someone that lives right down the street from me.

Mike, all my bows are recurves. I think my next bow will need to be a longbow.  I have a recurve I wouldn't mind trading  :D
