I didn't quite know what "quiet" was until...

I installed some wool puff balls on the string of my 40# osage selfbow (65", Hill style, made by TG's very own Brent Wakeland)

WOW!!!  WOW!!  WOW!

Ok so it was quiet before, just a bare low strand count Dacron string, and I know selfbows are inherently quietest and its a Hill style bow to boot,

But this thing is hitting levels of quiet for a bow I had no idea were possible.  Literally all you hear is my release and the slip of the string from my fingers, that is it, followed by the arrow hitting the target.  This is an assassin's tool now.  A deer/squirrel/whatever assassin.  I'm floored.

Nice, I bought some of the bow hush/hush puppies but havent bought a new string to put them on yet.  I'm itchin to try them though.

Those are supposed to be the bees knees/ waterproof.  I'm cheap so I went to Michael's and bought a roll of camo/multicolor 100% virgin wool medium yarn and made my own.  It's silly how easy it is, and a roll of wool for 5.99 will literally last forever.  Not sure on the waterproofness of it but a spritz of Scotchguard ought to do the trick.  The little osage Hill is so quiet it made me laugh out loud on the first shot.
