If you are slapping your arm at 7.5" you might want to consider rotating your elbow and wrist a bit more.... try canting the bow and opening your stance up first and see if this helps. if this helps try rotating your hand slightly on your grip before putting pressure on it, and try shooting with an open hand. rather than wrapping your fingers all the way around the back of the riser, try drawing with an open hand, and then just relax the finger tips until they lie gently on the back of the riser..... this should help you out..... The brace is most likely not the problem....Kirk
