Newbie to the Site
« on: April 13, 2013, 12:11:00 PM »
Hello everyone!

I took an archery class in college using a 22.5 lb. Snake recurve bow, and recently decided I want to brush up on my archery and start bowhunting!  As a huge fan of history, nature, DnD, etc., the romance of traditional hunting is extremely alluring to me, so I'm going recurve/longbow only (no beeping machine bows with built-in pez dispensers for me, nor am I interested in holding any guns).

I live in Tampa, Florida, and I've actually never hunted before, so I'm just bursting with questions.  I'm a pretty good shot with my new 28/35# 3 piece take-down recurve, but I'm not always within the 9" paper plate at 20 yards just yet, and I definitely still have a lot to learn with regards to archery and bowhunting.

Thank you, I'm looking forward to learning a lot and making some new friendships!
May the Road treat you well.
