Yeah, Ric. I had the bow out again today and it's really hard to put down. I've not shot a hill style, backset, straight, stringfollow, forward handle, or otherwise, that I like better than the Johnson.

Dave makes a really nice bow and his price is very good.  For you guys on the fence you need to know Dave is close to 80 and came out of retirement to build a few bows.  I do not remember ever seeing one in the classifieds so if you want one get on his list.  His waiting list is not too bad.  1-3 months best I can tell, but he does one bow at a time so it just depends on how many people got in line ahead of you.  I like his hand shake deal over the phone.  Just say you want on his list and you don't pay anything until he starts your bow.  When he starts your bow he communicates and sends some pictures of it during the build.  Just don't take advantage of this "handshake deal" and screw it up for the rest of us.

I'm next on Dave's list and I sent him a beautiful piece of bastogne walnut for the riser.  I wanted to be sure I had one of his bows before he retired again.  I'll be posting pictures as he sends them to me.

Don't wait too long guys!

Dave and his bride, Pat are two of the most sweet and wonderful people that you could ever hope to meet. They are 1st Class in my book.
