Kuiu merino shirts

A question to the Kuiu guru's out there, (pun intended Curt).  Do you have a comparison/preference in regards to the 250 vs. newer 230 long sleeve merino zip tee's?  I live in my 185 base layer all season long, but wanted to add another insulating layer.  All responses appreciated.

I just wear two 185s when it getting in the 20's.  That with a windblocker vest and a lite jacket I'm good to go.

And in Louisiana, we don't take cold well!  lol
