It's been recommended many times - but a Maddog pup recurve is great and not too bad on the wallet.  For a six year old girl that would be a great bow - I know because I have a six year old girl and that is what she shoots.

This thread has some kids and talk of bows they shoot - my oldest daughter is on page 5 with her bow:

It all depends on how much money you want to spend.

Toelke makes a great youth bow.

Black Rhino is another great source.  Like Maddog, BR is a sponsor here.   www.bows.net

I would go  St. Joe River Bows . They just made one for my 3-year-old and it is AWESOME. Their youth bow program is a bargain and the detail on these things is something else. If you find a more vibrant bow, I'll be shocked, and kids love color. Just my .02. I'll post photos of my Aubrey's bow.

not to take away from other sponsors/builders, but I suggest MadDog also. Mike made a bow for my 5 year old. Great guy to deal/communicate with.

Here is a photo of my daughter's St. Joe. You have great options regardless! Good luck.

I got a mini Hill style longbow from Mike at "7 Lakes longbows" Great bows and you can save alot if you finish it yourself.
