Flemish Strings Question

What make the difference in a padded string loop?  
Do certain bows only take a padded loop sorta like a fast flight string?

Padded loops cushion the string at the tips during the shot, providing a better fit and less noise. Those of us that shoot small diameter strings pad the loops to thicken them up

Padded loops is just adding extra strands to the loop ends.It helps make skinny strings the loop ends a larger diameter filling the string grooves better.I'll pad my loop ends with B50 or B55 or the same material I making my string out of.It is usally not a requirement but I feel it helps to quieten a string.

I always pad the loops in all my flemish strings, except dacron, unless asked not to.  It's quick and easy, and usually makes it quieter.  I use dacron to pad the loops.

Some bowyers require padded loops, but I've run across one or two bows that had string grooves so narrow that padding the loops would make them too big.
