Mr. Hill was my inspiration on these
« on: May 01, 2013, 10:31:00 PM »
Just for fun, I thought Id build some classic, all white shafts, such as Howard Hill used.....and ya know, I kinda like them. I know Mr. Hill used them for filming reasons, but I figured what the hey, film or no film the classy and vintage look of an all white shaft just oooozes tradition, so I thought Id build a few.   [/IMG]

Those are real sweet looking stick missles! Congrats on a great job.

How did you get them white and did this effect the spine and overall weight of the shaft?

Those look pretty cool. They would go really well with my Hill bows.

You inspired me! I have 6 shafts painted up and sitting in the multifletcher right now. They may be the arrows I take on my bear hunt later this month. They will go well with my Hill bows.

I have some Doug Firs on the way I just bought from Kelly that he listed in the classifieds. Looks like I need to maybe call magnus again and see what he has already dyed up

Both sets look nice guys.

What paint did y'all use?
