Thunder Child
« on: May 25, 2013, 02:22:00 PM »
The gestation is over,, my child got here yesterday in the mail.
She weighs in at 60 lbs @ 28 and is 54 inches long. Purpleheart and walnut in the riser and cocbolo limbs. Moose overlays on the back and Dall sheep and purpleheart tips. I am in love. Gotta thank my wife for ordering this for me and Big Jim for the art and craft of making this little stick.  It is beautiful! And fits me perfect, it sinks the arrows deep in the target and fast!

Big Jim is amazing, through out the entire gestation he treated me as though I was his only customer, he is patient, courteous and went out of his way to spend time on the time with me on the phone and answer questions.
Thanks again Big Jim.

Without tuning here are the first arrows in the target.

That's a pretty bow and nice shooting. If you get a chance wouldn't mind seeing a few more pics.

Oh yea, I begin a week long black bear hunt here tomorrow with friends from out of town. Maybe she can earn a name. ;-)

Also, I have to thank Rod Jenkins for the shooting.

I'm not as good as I would like to be, but am on the way. I attended his clinic in Santa Fe and it has made a big difference in my shooting. I am still working on the drills ( and probably always will be )

Nice.  I can't believe there is no snow.  I just got back from AK this week.  We had rain and/or snow every day.
