That said, I have nothing (traditional) to compare it to...  this is my first traditional bow after 14 yrs with compounds.  This "working mans" bow brings a smile that my Matthews could never touch...
What poundage are you shooting? [/b]
50#...   was initially going to go with 45, I shot both (45 & 50 #) and went with the 50...  Now I'm considering picking up a 55#er.  I'm also eyeballin' a LB, I really like what I'm seeing and hearing about the Bama bows..

I have a green super Grizzly 40# but I'll never sell it cause it's going to be my go to bow when I get too old to pull back the 45# Then I have a 35# for my golden years   :bigsmyl:

I hear ya Jim. I'd take one in 45#s if I could find one when I've got money to burn.   :D

I don't have any pics yet but my new Grizzly arrived last wed. I decided to go with just the regular grizzly because I wanted to keep with the feel of my old 72. After a little shooting and playing with brace height my 45@ 28" is liking 1916 Alum. That makes me happy because I have been wanting to hunt with some Alum. arrows for some time, topped with a Bear razor head they are shooting great. I'm pleased with the looks of the bow and also the quality, I was a little apprehensive at first to buy a new Bear but my fears have turned to elation.

Jim, if I can get my Harrelson sold, I am going to try and get a 40# Grizzly. Glad to hear that you are liking yours.

I shoot a 2012 Grizzly and really like it. The grip fits my hand nicely, the the shot is very smooth. No stacking or shock. I'm very pleased with my decision to purchase this bow.
Take care,
Jeff

Well, didn't get a Griz! Instead, I ended up with an early '70's model Kodiak Hunter. It looks to be in excellent condition and I can hardly wait to shoot it.   :D

Mine shoots really nice lately. I took of the string silencers and put some velcro on the tips below the string. I use a high grip and the bow tilts by itself perfectly. Had a great time this year shooting with my nephew.

I bought a new 50# Super Grizzly (3Rivers) and liked it OK.   I'm new to trad' archery.   Bad form and poor conditioning got me a cortisone shot in the shoulder and three months rehab'.  It's been a year and now I'm able to shoot 75 arrows a day without injury.   During that time I acquired a 1972 45X# Grizzly.   I like them equally as shooters, but the black finish of the SG is more my taste.   String differences and arrow weight has a big effect and I believe it's an 'emotional' thing more than a physical one.  Like so much of trad-archery, it's personal.   Have confidence in your choice and ignore ney sayers.

i love my super grizzly. I own one me in 50# and I do lots of testing to compare my bows. My super grizzly  shoots only 5fps slower than my bob lee my predator 2 great plains bows. The bow in my opinion doesn't have to much hand shock and can be silenced pretty easily. It's easy to tune and has a great grip. I love mine a lot and wouldn't hesitate buying another.  It may not have all the fancy woods like custom bows but Bears shoot just as good as all of them and better than some.
