Went back 10 years, "Statewide" Muzzleloader season has been four days since at least 2003, and changed from late December 2008 to January in 2010... Dec 27 - 30, 2008, then the next season was Jan 9 - 12, 2010.
Four months of on and off legal firearms season statewide in a densely populated state, it's tuff to find a mature buck not nocturnal that time of year. Every time they calm down - Bang, someone is firing lead at them again...

Youth deer: Nov. 23-24, 2013;
Deer gun: Dec. 2-8, 2013; and
Deer muzzleloader: Jan. 4-7, 2014.
Hunters may harvest only one buck in Ohio, regardless of the method of take or location. The hunting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes past sunset for all deer seasons. Antlerless permits are valid until Dec. 1, the Sunday before deer-gun season.
