A memory..makes for a dream
« on: June 06, 2013, 09:28:00 AM »
I was reading  ozy clint's post about his wanting another bowyer to duplicate his handle from his favorite bow.

For whatever reason my mind jumped to the best feeling handle/riser I ever put my hand to.

I had always thought I knew exactly how I wanted my risers shaped but was taken to school when James of (JD Berry Archery) shipped me a bow to shoot before sending it on to someone else.

His bow riser/handle was hands down, the "cat's meow"... purrrfect for me.

The bar has been set for me. (to the top)

Now I am waiting for the day when I have one of my own.

God bless,Mudd

Mudd,
You are 100% right on there. When I ordered my first custom from James at JD I "knew" what grip I likes on a hill style bow. So I told him measurements shape etc. He called to talk to me about his grip and that he thought the grip on his bows would work better than my plan. I said go for it and send me what you want and I was blown away from the first time HOLDING it!!! James grips are perfect, and most everyone who had shot my bows have had the same sentiments.

James raised the bar so high I sold all other bows I had and have orderd 2 more since then, and I even have another Vixen on order as we speak!!
