A little backyard squirrel hunting
« on: June 12, 2013, 10:51:00 PM »
I had a run of success this week. 3 squirrels in 4 days. Here are 2 of the 3. My helper is my pitbull rescue Gigi  :)

We have a ton of squirrels running around and there is no bag limit and no closed season...plus they are a pest when they get in your attic and chew wires. I don't ever have any luck trapping them, so I go to work with my Toelke Whip.

I'm about 5 in so far in 2013.

Don't squirrel them all, save some for us!  Good shooting, always fun and usually quite challenging. Sorry about the stupid play on words.......I couldn't resist.

Does Gigi tree them for you?  Good squirrel dogs are fun to hunt with.

She loves to tree squirrels, but this was in the backyard (small suburban yard) so she doesn't get involved until after the shot.
