Seven Lakes Longbows??

Any opinions or pics of Seven Lakes Longbows and bow blanks?
Also wondering if there are any other vendors selling glass-lam bow blanks or U-finsih bows???
Might be a good way to start into glass-lam projects.

I bought a Seven Lakes used that had been completed and finished.
The workmanship was very good. Glue lines were tight, the bow was well-tillered and the finish was good.
On thew minus side, the tip overlays were HUGE. The handle was also quite a bit thicker than I like mine to be. Half a day with a rasp and sandpaper fixed both issues and four coats of spray poly and a little pigskin for the grip took care of the rest.
I ended up with a fine shooting, fine looking custom bow fit to me for about $200 and eight or so horus of work.

I believe Howard Hill Archery will also sell you a partially finished bow that you can complete yourself.

I purchased a "Long Night" from 7 Lakes about a year ago and love it. It shoots straight, quiet, and smooth. It quickly became my favorite bow and I own several from some top builders.
Since then I purchased one of the "Short Night" blanks. It was Bamboo with a Dymondwood riser. The blank came with the arrow shelf cut out and string grooves already cut. Finishing the blank was pretty much a no brainer on my part, all I really had to do was sand and a little shaping at the tip.
The grip and tips were normal size on both the Long Night and the "Short Night" blank.

Great bows, they are quick and very quiet. The limb tips on mine were small and the bows are built very well. Shawn

I have ordered an unfinished bow from Mike, and my dealing with him have been first rate. Questions have recieved a prompt answer (even my novice questions)
And I am quite happy with my business with Mike.
Now, I hope I can do justice to Mike's work, as I finish this bow, . . . . and then give it away!
