Broadhead adapters

Assuming you could get the final broadhead weight and flight characteristics correct, ..... Would you rather use a long 42 grain aluminum adapter or a short 75 grain steel adapter?

I'm going against the flow on this one. I've had as good or better luck with the long aluminum.

When I was shooting carbon I used 42 grain long aluminum and haven't had one fail.

This batch of carbons isn't footed. I figure if I do enough damage to bend an adapter, I'll have have blown up the tip of the arrow as well (standard 18 grain aluminum insert).

I think I just made my mind up to use the aluminum for this batch.
