Of all my hobbies....
« on: June 20, 2013, 07:38:00 AM »
Traditional archery is the most satisfying, and has the most normal, decent participants.

I "do" a lot of stuff. If it shoots, I probably have one. If it can be hunted or fished, I give it a try. I try and do SOMETHING in the woods or on the water every day.

But nothing is anywhere near the fun that traditional archery is. And the folks you meet along the way.....no group is as kind, friendly, and interesting as traditional bowhunters.

I sure am glad I met you folks

I would have to agree too!
Even though I have never met most, if not any, of you, I feel as if I have known a lot of people from this site for a long time.
There has been a lot of people that have given their time, knowledge and experience to help me out and it is very much appreciated.
I have also been involved in a lot of activities over the years and this has been one great ride so far taking up traditional archery/bowhunting and also been the most fun for me
Thank you all for your part!

I have to agree with you Roger.  Of all the things I associate myself with, the Traditional Archery friends I have are the best and most looked forward to seeing.  We are a small nitch, but a good tight bunch.

I can totally relate Roger! I have many things that I try and do, but what I love most, what I always seem to enjoy the most is picking up my longbow and shooting...I hope that never changes because I am a happier person when I get to do that    :campfire:

The only thing I've ever been as nuts about as traditional archery is motorcycles, and I have temporarily given those up to focus 100% on trad.

You know, I think we are all a bit crazy. Trad archery and trad bowhunting in particular, are difficult and really stack the deck against us. Yet we keep at it, and no matter how bad and frustrating a day on the range may be, we come right back with full expectations of shooting like Robin Hood.

I like crazy! Besides, sanity is sometimes highly overrated. I'm just glad to be associated with other nutty folks on Trad Gang. Crazy maybe but we are definitely the fortunate few!

I have reconnected due in part to my son, this web site and so much enthusiasm generated from the folks associated here.
I enjoy this sport so!
