Love the HOW TO section...first quiver
« on: August 31, 2007, 01:38:00 PM »
Threw this together from the build-a-long in the How to. The hardest part was finding the leather, the strap and laces, and trim are made from my very first deer( see bullet hole on strap), the rest I got through a trade.
Figured I would share  this to encourage other people to give the How to section a look. Great info in there...and it isnt hard at all.
I did make one mistake, I had too many holes on one side(the "bubble" by the laces toward the bottom. This does not affect the function at all.
I attached the bottom of the strap differently than the build along...two leather loops, much like that of a helmet strap, so that it can be adjusted over the various clothes I wear to hunt.
Now I just have to decorate it....

Thanks everyone. I was thinking about a build along, but I didnt want to trust my ability that much. Maybe some other time on some other project.
Its getting close Jim! Im trying to get everything done(for bow season)now so I can just hit the woods when and if I get a chance.
Im taking a walk tomorrow to scrounge some feathers and stuff to finish it off. So far, I added a knapped arrowhead to it...more pics to come when its all purty.
