After a bit of bush hogging this evening I headed up the lane on my old tractor towards the house, when some fond memories of special times spent with my Pop, who has been gone many a year, flooded my mind.
To many it may look like just another lane, but for me, every yard of it reminds me of many a morning and evening, walking together with my Pop, planning tactics, sharing successes and the telling of events, that unfolded after going our separate ways, on our hunts in the woods just beyond.
Even though my Pop was'nt a bowhunter, he always supported me in my efforts as a bowhunter and always had the confidence that I could be successful in this journey, and spent much quality time teaching me the skills that would help to make me successful, as well as the love of the outdoors.
Quality time spent with young ones is invaluable and helps to insure the future of the hunting sports as well as solidifying the relationships between family and friends, while at the same time creating memories that time cannot erase.
If any of you have a " lane" so to speak, please share.
P.S Thanks Pop, for quality time well spent, as your teaching and confidence have come to fruition many times over, in my successes as a person and as a bowhunter.
