ASAT Camo Question
« on: July 05, 2013, 08:42:00 PM »
I have an up coming archery hunt for elk out west here and I'm looking at some ASAT camo. Is it just my perception that the back ground color is very light? I like the pattern, but it seems very light,or is that part of the reason its effective. Thanks for all responses

It is light, but BELEIVE me, it blends in with just about everything. When I first bought mine over 20 yrs ago, they sent a VHS tape on how it works.  It was pretty cool.

The background color will reflect and become the color around you.  Best CMO made!,would be nice if more options were available for materials.  But getting better with first lite.

ASAT may not look good while standing on line at Wally World but it works in the deer woods! Light and dark patterns like ASAT will hide your outline.

ASAT is like the girl next door, you can find something that looks better but at the end of the day nothing is better.

Day One's ASAT in Bucksuede will run a tad darker than the normal lighter tones. Works well out West, Canada and here in the northeast. PM sent....

I was wearing the 3-D leafy in Texas, sitting on a little stool that swiveled around, had a yote less than three, that's 3' feet away from me, never saw me and he/she looked passed me three times. I could have reached out with the bow and mugged it. Don't know how good it is from a tree stand, but from the ground, it's the cats meow

Yeah it works, and it's going with me on my first ever elk hunt this coming season.

Truly nothing like it!  Animals will look through you!!

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

The stuff works great, I'm a big fan. The way deer see, it works perfect. They have a guarantee, if you don't see more animals you can get your money back, something like that!

About 8 years ago I was getting busted here in illinois in my M.O. camo.  Midway through season was at a sporting good store and they had some on sale, just longsleeve t-shirt.  Said what the heck, week later it warmed up a little and tried it, I shot two deer (buck/doe) from the same spot on the ground been hunting before.  Brother was making fun of the stuff, then couple days later on afternoon hunt he dropped me off.  Told me later he watched me walk in timber, said the top half was like a deer and vanished, he ordered some that night.  I think it is the best, and predator right after that.  I use to have a pic of couple asat/mossy, real, jakcets in bush side by side,  you lost the asat when you looked at it.
