Brace height, 52" Bows???
« on: July 07, 2013, 10:49:00 AM »
Hello folks!!! Tyler & I went "bow hunting" at a local flea market yesterday...

We were quite successful!!! I picked up a Shakespear "Sierra" recurve, 52" 50# @ 28" and a left hand Bear Victor "Patriot" target bow, 66" 35# @ 28"

We came home & gave both bows a nice warm soap&water sponge bath, then wiped them down with furiture polish. I scrounged the my old bow stuff and found 1 of my old Kodiak Mag strings for the Shakespear. Got my webster stringer & strung it up... The lowest I could get the brace height is 9" from the throat of the grip to the inside edge of the string.

All of my Grizzlys like about 8" but I seem to remember my old K-Mag was more???

Can any of you folks out there with "short bows" tell me what your brace heights are?????

Thanks!!! woodchucker
