Trueflight autumn brown vs Bronze
« on: July 12, 2013, 03:04:00 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out if I want the autumn brown or the bronze color feather.

Seems like the pics online all look different.

Sometimes the autumn brown looks great...other times it looks fairly orange.

...sometimes the bronze looks great other times it looks really dark.

I'm looking for a darker walnut brown color...

If anyone has some pics I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you

from your pic on my screen...
Do they have quite an orange tint to them?

...almost a rust color?

I can't post pics but they look really good with a single black feather and two bronze (had to rewrite that cause the first time it didn't come out PG) They are hard to see in flight though even with a white nock and white wrap. Spliced with a touch of white on the back of each feather.............That would be very nice.

I think they look just like plain brown and not a hint of orange. The picture on my screen looks exactly how they look in real life. I have noticed that some vary and are darker.

Here's some more I did. I got to looking at them and there seems to be a front and a back. They are darker on the back than they are on the front.

If you contact Tru Flight, they will probably send you a sample or two of each color to help you decide. A while back I was trying to make a decision on some of their colors, had sent several emails asking questions...guess they got tired of me buggin' them, sent me a bag that had at least one feather of every color and shape / size that they make. It comes in mighty handy when trying to decide what color to do my next batch.
