Not sure if you will find an "outfitter" in Lousiana, but there are a couple of WMA areas around Alex.

Best bet would be to hook up with a couple of TradGangers who frequent the site and live close by.

Come on Cajuns help out!

I wish it were November. I would take you in my camp. However, the Federal Refuge I hunt doesn't open for archery until November.

That area around Alex. Lake Ophelia NWR would be your best bet.  October in La. you WILL need a thermocell.  Lake Ophelia might have a bow season in Oct.- goggle Lake Ophelia National Wildlife Refuge.

Actually, the Cajuns ( those folks of French descent) live mostly below Interstate 10. Alexandria area would be all piney woods red necks.

Alexandria State Forest and Kisatchie National Forest are only 20 minutes from Alexandria.  The Indian Creek Area has a campground but no cabins.  Thistlewaite is 1 hr South.  Good roads, but hard hunting with a lot of palmettos, mosquitos and snakes.  Highly pressured.  Catahoula Wildlife Management area about 40 minutes from Alexandria to the East.  Never hunted there.  Good luck
