Super Kodiak?

I am looking into buying one of the newer Super Kodiaks in the graying green.  I bought a 2011 Kmag this past january and I have noticed I like the longer bows, they seem more forgiving.  I have shot my dad's 66 kodiak and love it but it is only a 42# draw.  I would like a 50#.  Do any of you guys have newer Super Kodiaks and how do you like em?

Actualy, I'm an old Bear Grizzly fan!!! However, I had a 1970's Super Kodiak once and I really liked the way it shot!!!!! Then, a man came along with the right amount of money.....

I've always liked the lighter weight & simpler lines of the Grizzly. It was & still is the "working man's bow"! However I have been looking at the "Grayling Green" Super K, and I REALLY like it!!! That being said... I have wanted a Kodiak T/D since the 1980's. Back then, I could have bought one for $499!!! 3Rivers list's the Grayling Green Super Kodiak for $619. But for $819 ($200 more) I can get a  Bubinga Kodiak T/D with either an A or B riser & type 1 or 3 limbs, and order it "custom"... That's kinda the way I am leaning.....

If you buy the Super K, I'm sure you will be VERY Happy!!!!! But, for $200 more.....?

             I got two super kodiaks. One is about ten years old and the other is the new Grayling Green. I bought mine from Big Jim Bow Company. Big Jim had the best prices on the Super Kodiak Grayling Green. The bow is a very good shooter and craftmanship is outstanding. I have a 30" draw and I shoot it fine. I have had several top of the line recurves but I always go back to the ole Super Kodiak. I like the way they shoot and handle. A one piece recurve handles a little easier in the woods for me. The speed is great, it shoots big ceder shafts good with now handshock at all. Mine is 50#. I think you would really be satisfied if you got the Grayling Green.

Mine blew up at the string nock while at full draw!  However, it certainly doesn't mean they're all bad bows.  Mine appeared to be a fluke, and the only caveat was that with the shorter bow, I'm pushing the envelope with a 29.5-inch draw length.  I really loved mine, but decided on the Super Griz as a replacement.

I have one of my own and just love it. I shot a deer in Ks with it last year and hung it up. I think it might be a collector one day as it is a one of a kind.

I had nearly a 31" draw and now a 32" after going to the Rod Jenkins clinic. Just love the way the 60" shoots.

I shot my bows all the time or would have no problem calling the SK a go to bow.
