I shot an Elkheart at Kalamazoo this year, and it stole the show!!! And I shot a lot of great bows. If I'd have had the cash, there's no doubt I'd be hunting that thing this year. It may have been a 52", but I think it was 54". Regardless, it shot better than most 60" bows! I drew that particular bow right about 27.5", and it handled it flawlessly. It was rediculous how smooth the draw and shot was with no pinch for such a short bow. Also probably the fastest bow in that weight range that I shot. I'm trying out an Inferno that Gregg made right now at 56", and I'm really liking this bow a lot. I'm on his list for a build, and I really like the design of the Inferno, but a 52" Elkheart is at the top of my list. They are both outstanding bows, the Inferno shoots extremely well, and I'm sure I'd be happy with either, but, that Elkheart was awesome! Decisions decisions. Lol. Gregg is absolutely one of the best bowyers out there. Design, shootability, fit and finish, and performance. You can't go wrong with a Javaman bow!
Gary, that's a very fine stick you have there, and I'm sure it'll serve you well.
