Spine Question.

I shoot a 50#@28" Plainsman recurve drawing 28". I'm thinking about buying some Easton Axis 400's that are 29" with 100g inserts. Would they work for me? Thanks in advance. Keith

Right on the border IMO. There's a good chance they'll work, but they also may be just a tad stiff. The only way to know is to try them. I shoot .400 Axis cut to 29 inches with 100 grain brass inserts and 125 grain heads out of 50-55# ACSs at a 28-inch draw.

I'm with Orion on this one. 50# bows @ 28" are .500 spine territory IMO.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've decided to go with .500 spine MFX Classics.
