Going hunting for woodchuck in am gonna be fun
« on: July 19, 2013, 08:35:00 PM »
Me and my brother are taking to the woods primarily to scout for September deer season but also to take a few ground grizzlies out! I'm taking out my Browing Cobra 58'50#@28 shooting carbon fury arrows tipped with a bear greenie. I am holding a softball grouping at 30 yards so I should be good to go. Ill post pix in am for all to see!

Go get them.

Those groundhogs are way harder to hunt with a bow than whitetails. Good luck.

Since you now have the deer figured out get back in there and give the G-hogs another go.

I'd rather hunt groundhogs than deer. More sightings + more shots = more fun!

I was hunting sod poodles today in the back woodlot. I didn't see any hogs but I walked right past two fawns and saw hens with poults. It was a very good day.

If you are shooting softball size groups at 30 yards, I would definitely say you are good to go. Good hunting! I've never pursued them, but I hear they are difficult to approach. Sounds like fun and good preparation for deer season.
