I've got a couple of friends in Sparta, Wisconsin that are wanting to get into archery. Does anyone know of any shops nearby that have traditional gear?

The closest one I know of is The Footed Shaft in Rochester, MN. Dwyer Longbows is just down the road in Holmen, as far as bowyers go.

Too far north for me! That would be a serious road trip-Wisconsin to Laredo, through Arkansas.

The Footed Shaft in Rochester, MN is definitely the closest truly traditional shop. Great guys there and they have a nice selection of used bows too!

I'll send them over to the Footed Shaft. They were talking about getting into archery, and I think I have them convinced that traditional is way more fun. They are stationed at the army base there, and it doesn't look like a very long drive. Thanks for the help.

The Footed Shaft is well worth the road trip. Great shop run by good people, and they will have everything I guy could need.
