I am always amazed at the abundant patience shown in the face of my boundless ignorance. It takes a unique combination of skills to be a great bowyer. Part engineer, part artist, the blending of function and aesthetics then needs to be coupled with listening skills, tact, and good business sense and practices.
I dunno how they do it. I'm just glad to be here in the golden age of archery. When you stop to think of just how much information is available on the myriad styles of shooting from around the world, and that the equipment can be had for anything from bows of 10,000 years ago to exotic modern styles, from Mongolia to the rain forests of South America, you can't help but feel a twitch of joy and gratitude for being here, and now.
