Awesome!   :biglaugh:

I would call Jason and BEG him to reconsider using exotic woods and make me a 56" Kanati in tulipwood under clear glass!      :p

Yeah I know, it shouldn't matter about how good the bow looks but in case I get "rescued" I'll still have a great looking bow. Plus, just in case the natives are male, I'll still have something purty to look at! Oh, yeah, I will want 3 dozen Beman MFX Classic arrows too.

Oh, and is it okay if Gene and Barry come along so as to hunt with and keep me and the "natives" entertained around the campfire?!?

   I like the osage bundles, because that is an ideal situation to work on self bows.  BUT, I question this scotch choice even though i love a good dram.  First, you are on a tropical island (not really scotchy).  Second, there are beautiful people (who I assume are women - sorry Doc) and I don't know many scotch drinking women.  Third, scotch is top dollar whiskey and not so great when quantity is needed.  So me, I'd go with some cheap, but good spiced rum.

And just in case the natives are female then take some flameing arrows to scare off anyone that comes to rescue you.

Wow Killi,  just. . . .  wow.

John McDonald makes a nice bow for not a large chunk of cash.  In that situation, I would take a Hill style bow so I could use it for shooting, for walking, for bopping skwerls over the head and a hundred other things.  It would also leave me a wad for the scotch. It might be needed.

Northern Mist Shelton and some really nice woodies. The remainder of the money would go toward a hunt.

Whoever could build me the 'boo cable-backed bow on 110 of the Traditional Bowyer's Bible would get my dollar.  That, some cane and fletching materials, and probably just some trade points for heads.

I really like my Das DX5 longbow.  Later, you can add recurve limbs or change weight w/additional limbs.

Bows are a personal thing and only you will know what is right for you. I bought and sold on TG for a few years and know what I think are the best of the best but that may not work for you.
