3 blade bh orientation?
« on: July 25, 2013, 01:57:00 AM »
I was wondering if you all align the blades with the feathers or you think it doesn't really affect the flight?

I haven't found that it matters. I like it to be like a "Y" so that it doesn't block my sight picture.

It doesn't matter, the beauty of 3 blade heads is excellent flight no matter how you mount them and the hole they leave.

Doesn't matter. Back when I shot compounds, I would have to align the blades with straight vains. Shooting such a strong helical and properly tuned arrows, you shouldn't have too.

just let me add...

we don't line up our 2 blades to our 3 fletch arrows.
...just saying you don't need to worry about the flight being affected from it.

Just make sure they're on straight and you'll be good.

I am right handed, I like to mount them so one blade is at about 1 o'clock.  Even large Snuffers don't distract me when mounted that way.

I mount my Snuffers in a "Y" because of my split vision aiming method.

I originally did the Y so I could use the back of the bottom blade as a draw check
