kifaru pack suggestions

I have decided on a kifaru pack after some research. I am looking at the late season right now.  Altho its tuff to sort through all the options. i dont plan on needing it for heavy hauling as I mainly hunt whitetails.  However, I do hav trips planned to CO mt lion hunting, HI for sheep/goats and am lookung into a red stag hunt in NZ.

Anyone hav any experience/suggestions? Would the late season b suita le for these hunts as well as for whitetail hunting around home?  I really like the fact its suitable as a carry on.

I bought a used Spike camp to take to Kauai last year to hunt goats.  Got home, sold it for what I paid (they hold their value quite well), and bought a new Late Season Legacy, and see absolutely no reason to own anything else.

I have bought a new $50-$80 pack every year trying to find the right one that I would keep for a while.  If I would have just spent the money on quality equipment the first time, I would have been a much happy hunter from the beginning.

Better order soon as it takes them a while.  Or do what I do, haunt all the classifieds out there and save a few bucks.  Just need to know what your looking for, including belt size, and pull the trigger fast when you see what you need.

Thanks Mike thats what i was lookn to hear.  Sounds like i will b using it for the same applications as u.  After what just happened to me on my trip to Africa and the debacle I'm going thru i cant stress the importance of having gear in ur pack as a carry on.

I received my Late Season a couple weeks ago and loaded about 40lbs of sand bags in it and have been carrying for my 2 mile workout hikes and all I can say is WOW wished i'd have spent the money along time ago!! You will not be disappointed!!

I highly recommend anyone with questions should talk to Aron Synder, his number is on the Kiraru website under "contacts".  I don't know many people that spend more time in the back country than Aron.  He will also shoot you straight and give answers that he feels will suit you best, and not try to just sell you on a high priced item.

Ken after speaking w Aron and telling him my needs he instantly suggested the late season.  Mostly for carrying bulky winter clothes to the treestand.  so thats what I'm gettn.

The nice thing about these packs is, if you ever decide, like me to go out west for a hunt, your all set up as far as that goes. I never thought I would pay that much $ for a pack, but like you the more I researched it the more sense it made to me. I am going for a tarp next as my Sawtooth is too large for one person on an elk hunt.

P.S. I love the wood stove that goes in my tipi, though it's not a Kifaru as they didn't have any made in titanium at that time.
