Need to reapply leather grip and stitch and there are 2 sizes, 30 and 70#. I also need to clean old glue off the leather and glue back. what should I use?
Thanks Terry

either size will work...and the smaller size is easier on you shooting hand. Cut the ends at an angle and dip the last inch in super glue...after it dries the ends will act like needles and make stitching easier. I like a cheap glue stick or rubber cement for under the leather and not much of it...just enough to prevent slipping. Barge cement is the norm but who has that at home... ?

Might be easier to go with new leather and use old for a pattern.
I find strips of double sided tape work well.Strip down each side and one down back.
Wet the leather in warm water and squeeze all the excess out by rolling in a newapaper.
Stitch up tight and let it shrink. The tape will keep it from moving.
Good luck

If you go with the heavier artificial sinew, you can strip smaller thin pieces off of it as needed.

i use bowstring fiber and save the 15# artificial sinew for leather stitching and fletching.

I suggest doubling the 70# so its large enough that it doesn't try to tear out your holes as you pull it tight. Art. sinew frays like crazy and dries out fast.
