Show your Great Northern Traditional Longbow
« on: July 31, 2013, 01:02:00 PM »
I really got the fever for one of Jerry's Great Northern Traditional Longbows after shooting one at the E.T.A.R..If you own one lets see it or hear about it.. I know the Jack-Knife is a time proven and probably the best take down system out there so what do you think about it on this style of longbow ??

If you have the fever, here is one.  T/D, but not a jack-knife.

That's going to be my next (new) bow, a GN Traditional jack-knife.  Not a huge fan of their Dymondwood risers, but that takedown system is just phenomental for its durability and the fact that it doesn't add any length to the bow since nothing overlaps.

The main thing I dislike about every other takedown is that it's not meant to be taken down every time you unstring it.  Sleeves wear, threads gall, etc.

I'll be watching this, would really love to see some pics  :)

Heres 4 lams of osage, not sure of riser but I really love this bow. Actually tried to trade it off  and had some good offers, but always an excuse to keep. Pretty sure I made the right choice!!!    and another    Just a great shooting little bow, a pleasure to shoot, not a takedown rather a one piece, but love to show her off anyway!!!
