Will this hold good on aluminum?  If not what is an inexpensive alturnative?

I never had a problem, I assume you're fletching with it? Just be sure to clean the aluminum with alcohol or something first.

No it doesn't hold aluminum unless you spray the end with some clear polyurethane.I glued some feathers on aluminum with duco cement and cleaned them well,it was all I had at the moment. It held for alittle bit,but I would loose a feather when I shot it.I just keep reglueing the feathers back on with Fletch-tite.You could tape off a crown and spray with clear poly and then duco will hold.If not I would use Platinum fletch tite.

I've been using duco for a long time and I shoot aluminum. Make sure their clean and you should not have a problem.

I haven't had real good luck with it but may not have cleaned them well enough, but I have been using cap wraps lately and duco works well with that

I have had very good results using gorilla impact resistant super glue to fletch my 2117's. 7-8 bucks for the big bottle and it lasts a long time.

I spray all my shafts with Bull Dog adhesive promoter and never have a feather or vane come off. Just a little heads-up if you are having any kind of problem.

O'Riley's auto parts has it in our area. BullDog dries almost instantly and it is clear. One can will last forever.

Thanks James. It gets more difficult everyday to find glues that work on aluminum shafts consistently.

I have some al arrows that I glued feathers on 21 years ago with duco.

the feathers themselves aren't in great shape but they sure don't want to pull off the shaft.

just clean the shaft good before gluing.
