Fortunate enough to own several of Shawn's knives and will say no one will be disappointed. This is a fine looking lightweight workhorse for the back country. BTW, Shawn-best of luck with the bulls this fall.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Thanks, guys! Ron, I used a metal checkering file from my gunsmithing days. Not sure of the LPI but you are correct in how it is used and I dress it down a bit along with all edges of the knife so nothing will debark your hand. I positioned the checkering to be in the correct location for the users index finger. The tip of the thumb is located by the forward hole.
