custom limbs?
« on: August 09, 2013, 08:03:00 AM »
Been in a very strenuous debate with the voices in my head aboiut getting a new bow. then decided to just get heavier limbs. the limbs are hard to come by and being a ragim product idk if i want to rder new limbs. (in previous posts I state how well this bow has treated me since new. So i am greatly attached to it. like its a child or my dog).
So if there are any sponsors reading or anybody who knows someone who may do this, I am thinking of sending my riser out and having new limbs made in a higher poundage and obviously of better quality.
my current riser has been reshaped to fit my hand better than any bow I have ever picked up. I personally sanded it down until it was perfect, so I would like to hold on to it.
Custom limbs for a production bow....anybody?
thanks guys/gals

Honestly no. I really feel I got lucky that this bow has been so good. I'm concerned the new limbs won't be as good of quality as these originals.
Ragim reviews are in general poor.

Try Maddog .  I once had a bow  with an original  dryad take down riser and a set of Maddog limbs .

robinhood,

with respect, the Ragim reviews you have read are , in general, incorrect.

the top of the range Ragim limbs they put on the Red Falk are not quite as good as say Hunter's niche Predator limbs , but they are far superior to the likes of samick's sage or even the current Martin  saver/ jaguar limbs.

i dont own a TD but my buddies have a red falk and one of the cheaper ones. the cheapo ones arent brilliant, but as i said the top ones are good.

i have a ragim longbow with bamboo cores, its a great bow. my wife shoots a Taiga, also good

Are you trying to move up or down in weight?
New limbs will cost more than your bow if custom.  You could find a bowyer you want to deal with and send him your grip to copy on a new bow.
