I've been using them on my recurves for over 25 years without a problem. If you are going to walk thru tall grass, briars, brush, etc they are great. Stopping to pick a wad of vegetation out of your bow is an aggrevation when sneaking up on a critter.
There is no great fun, satisfaction, or joy derived from doing something that's easy.  Coach John Wooden
