St Jude Pound Cake arrives in Washington
« on: August 14, 2013, 10:24:00 PM »
Thank you Lil D, your famous Pound Cake arrived at a very good time. I am down in the dumps missing my summer due to a recent ankle replacement surgery. The arrival of your Pound Cake has put a really BIG smile on my face. Pam, Dakota and I are enjoying some as I type.

Many thanks to you young lady for all you do for the children of St Jude, your the best.

Best to ya, the Gettman's

Ken,

I hope you have a good, healthy recovery.  That sounds like quite a procedure.  I was lucky enough to get a slice of Whip's pound cake; I am now jealous.  Heal well sir

DAKOTA!?!

That is one well-fed Retriever!

Enjoy the feast!

And get that ankle healed up right!

Shoot straight, Shinken

Yes that must be miracle cake, I woke up this morning feeling like going for a good jog, problem was my knee scooter can't go that fast. Six more weeks and I'll get to put that foot on the ground.

Thanks for the well wishes, and thanks again Lil D that package really did lift my spirits

I remember how you relished even the last crumbs at Whips that year, Ken!  :)

Trouble is that cake is loaded with calories... and you being inactive like you are...you better send 1/2 to one of your favorite friends or relatives lest you outgrow your hunting duds!

Hang in there on the time line... be soon enough for what you been thru!

Cheers!

Yeah Ken... after seeing your thread about your surgery we thought you might be in the mood for some cake.  Hope it helps a little.
