First time ever a bad deal in classifieds

I've been trading bows and gear like crazy for a couple of years, trying out new stuff and selling what didn't work for me. A lot of times, the bows or other gear and money have passed each other in the mail.

I may have just had my first bad experience. I'm still hoping the seller is out of town on business (or better yet hunting), but it's been nearly a month since he received payment (I have an e-mail from acknowledging receipt of payment) and no sign of the arrows I bought and no response to e-mails, PMs and posts on his ad.

Tim, if you're out there and have any explanation, please contact me and I will publicly apologize. 'Till then, I would advise other Trad Gangers to have nothing to do with Tim Adair.

I've been around 72 years and this would be only the 2nd time ever I've been ripped off, so it won't have much of an effect on my opinion of folks.

I like the idea of trusting people and being trusted in return. It will take a lot more than $40 to change that

Life is full of surprises. I hope he is OK and has a good reason for not getting your arrows out. Let us know what happens.

Rest assured I will not bad-mouth someone in public and then not make a correction if I receive my arrows.

I had a deal like that a year or so ago on some broadheads.  Payment received than no word for a while. Then I was told they were shipped.  Never got them.  Had a hard time making contact about it.  He was out hunting a lot in the west.  Finally got my money back.  

I had another deal where items was going to be shipped the first of the following week.  Didn't hear anything more for a couple weeks. Turned out guy was in hospital.  I got my stuff, but took a little while.  Don't recall who that was, but he was a regular around here, and probably still is.  

Hang in there.  Stuff does happen.  I hope it works out.

Just keep me posted on this deal....changes in moderation of the classifieds is coming, like closer tabs on aliases that post just to raise other posts, folk with fake addresses(like the guy we just caught this AM that said he was from China but was from AK), and those that sing up and run to the classifieds, and those that only use the classifieds for profit...
