This will be my first season hunting trad just made the switch from compounds.  When I hunted with a compound I would just cut the finger off my glove so I could use my release.  What do most of you guys do with a shooting glove on to keep that hand warm?

Lots of good feedback on this here on the forum in the past year or two; I'd bet a search or two for cold weather shooting, or something like that, would bring up a bunch.
I've been using deerskin gloves with a fleece pile lining - regular kind you can get at a good hardware or farm supply store. I put a heat pack in over the back of my hand when it's cold enough, and/or keep 'em in my pockets a lot when I'm roving, with maybe a heat pack in them too.
Not perfect, but I manage to shoot through the winter up here.

When I used a glove, I used the Damascus style usually. Neet makes a deerskin glove thats pretty good.
I've heard the black Speed glove is a good glove.

My shooting glove stalls are narrow enough that I can slip one of the knit "fingerless" shooting gloves over the top of it when it's cold.  They usually have the "mitten hood" that can be pulled over your fingers, but I don't care for that feature and usually cut it off.  I think American Leathers also offers a style that covers the entire hand.

I use a brown cotton glove and cut off the three fingers on it and then put my shooting glove over top of it. If it gets really cold I'll put it in my pocket with a hand warmer or I have a muff too.

I'm going to use some type of glo-mitt over my shooting glove, just flip the mitt portion back when you're ready to shoot.

I use glo-mitts from cabelas over the shooting glove hand. Just be sure to try it on with your glove to make sure it fits.

I use a fleece hand warmer worn at the waist and keep both hands in it (like the NFL quaterbacks use, but camo)with one of those heet packs on colder days. Otherwise it's in my jacket pocket on cooler days and early season it is of no concern.

This is what I do also. I can't stand anything on my string had other than tab or shooting glove.  Messes with my anchor.  I can have something on my bow hand, but I don’t like much.  I have a pair of gloves that came as inserts in a set of mittens.  I would think you can get something similar if you look around some.  They are on the thin side and have a suede or similar material on the palm and fingers.  I get a good grip, but not so good the bow will not move to eliminate torque.  I get good feel and some warmth for short times exposed and holding the bow when something is around.

Nothing.  I just keep my hand in my pocket.  My hands would freeze using gloves.  Keeping it in my pocket works way better and I don't need to worry about shooting differently.  Keep your core warm and your hands will take care of themselves.

Lightweight wool gloves that i can keep in my pockets. Finger hand i just cut 3 fingers down to one knuckle. Works great.

I do a lot of stand hunting, so I keep my glove hand in a pocket or muff. If it's below 20, I'll stick a heat pack in there.

Same here. I use wool also. When those cotton or synthetic material gloves absorb water my hands get so cold. I now use wool and its great even when rained or snowed on.

I use a tab partly because I can wear a mid weight glove and still use it easily. When I used a glove I relied on hand warmers and coat pockets.

I do this too and use a wool muff when its really cold. The military wool glove liners work great for this.

I either wear wool fingerless gloves, or cotton jersey gloves with 3 fingers cut off of the right hand. I probably have 50 right handed jersey gloves with the fingers cut off floating around here...
