There are alot of good bows and bowyers out there. Some bows have a huge fan base.I have been watching the classifieds for two years. My observation is this,"people just don't sell or want to sell those Thunderstick MOABS".Am I wrong?Never had the chance to shoot one,but I sure as heck want to.What can anybody tell me about these bows?

Junk. I want one about 48# for 3D, another about 50-52# as a backup. Maybe one about 45 for when I get older. However, I almost never see them particularly 50 and under. Musts be everyone uses them for fire wood.

They pop up from time to time, but you're right, far and few between. There are other like that and those are the ones to research more in depth. Robertson takedown recurves are a good example along the same lines. Many guys hold on to them. Also, Leon Stewart bows or Centaurs or Habus. Not many pop up.
That doesn't mean bows that pop up often aren't just as good. There are many that pop up all the time that are exceptional. Toelke is one that comes to mind. Toelke bows are extremely loved and awesome performers. They are fairly affordable by most standards which is a boon to the Toelke shooter and also makes it possible to buy and sell them and try out different ones more easily.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe I have read that many consider the 60" MOAB the smoothest of the Thunderstick line up.

I've had a 58", 62", and multiple 60"... and yes the 60" is special... can't put my finger on it, but they seem to shoot the best for me.
Right now, I've got two that Jim made for me... they flat out shoot, the price is modest compared to some and a little more then others... But, I'd put them in the same class as many of the higher dollar bows... Smooth, quiet, dead in the hand at the shot, and quick. Can't ask for much more of a bow...

Awesome bow!
I was lucky that "longbowben" tired of his little gal, and didn't want her anymore...... :D
I think he just moved on to a younger model though
Great shooting bow!

Try waiting on a lefty to show up...LOL
I feel fortunate to have 2. No, they are not going anywhere.
MOAB is my favorite 1-pc longbow handsdown. No contest.
