Busted off my first wooden arrow nock...
«

It broke off and just left the collar of the nock on the taper. The arrow wasn't damaged. I glued them on with Duco. Is there an easy way to get the rest of the nock off so that I can glue a new one on and shoot the arrow again?
...And I guess while I am asking questions about wooden arrow repair, how to you go about replacing worn feathers without gouging up the wood? Some of my feathers are starting to get a little beat up.
Thanks for all of the guidance that this gang provides.
Scott.

Same here for the nocks. Feathers, I carefully run a fine blade. maybe an x-acto, from the back of the feather to the front, going slow and peeling the quill up as I go. Touch up the arrow with sandpaper, maybe wipe a light coat of sealant if needed, and re-fletch. Usually works.
