Let the 2nd party pick up a MO!  May be a great guy but with no history and darn near all his 20ish posts are about trying to buy something.....I'd pass without the cash in hand!!  Save yourself a possible bad experience.

I might be wrong. But it seems odd that this  fellow registered under three different names on this site. His locations are two from China and one from Ohio!?!?!?! May something we need to keep an eye on.

I wouldn't sell a guy registered under multiple names a glass of lemonade.

NSA isn't the only one watching our communications either. I swapped e-mails with a Trad Ganger in Europe. In less than an hour after our e-mail exchange, I found out I was the winner of EU8,000,000 in a lottery.  Gee, lucky me! I can hardly wait to contact the lottery commission and collect my prize   :)

in all FOUR cases, it may or may not be the same person.

SO FAR, Liao Xuan has been a member in good standing.  i allowed him in after we had an email exchange.  he's made 23 posts and so far no complaints.

as with any classifieds deal, use caution and prudence.  there are some members who i would, and have, sent out money or goods without receiving dollars or goods up front.  i'd like to think that others would treat me the same (but that's not been the case with everyone, one person didn't trust me at all to send out a bow at the same time i sent out a postal money order ... interesting).

if i really didn't know the person on the other end of a classifieds deal, i'd make sure they made the first move and if not, deal's off.  be careful, and as always, YMMV.  ;)

If the deal makes you spooky then don't do it but Paypal has 0 risk to your bank account information. The other party can't get any of your banking info, only your email address. Once you are paid on larger items, Paypal will tell you to hold shipping until funds are verified. They will then deposit to your account and tell you to ship. I do this type of transaction all the time with folks all over the world. If you really want exposure, take a check or money order. If it is counterfeit, it can take several days to several weeks to be exposed. Your bank will then hold you responsible and make you pay the money back.
For purchasing, Paypal is THE only way I buy now. Their buyer protection plan really does work. I once bought some trail cams from another country and never received the cameras. I filed a claim and my money was reimbursed by paypal very quickly. Sorry for the long winded thing here but I have had very good luck with PayPal.

Fireboss, I think you are right all around. I've been using PayPal for most of my transactions. However, in a lot of them, I've sent the money as a "gift" to avoid PayPal's charges. I guess that's really cheating PayPal out of the fees that support them and their parent company. Their guarantee is easily worth the 3% and I think unless it really IS a gift to family, I will not be using that feature anymore. Besides, I recently got burned for the first time and have no recourse to recover my money. It wasn't a lot of money and not worth trying to file charges, but a regular PayPal transaction would have gotten me either my merchandise or my money back. In the future, I might even try to split the cost of the fees with the seller, as we are both protected in the transaction.

I agree with Jerry.
Ron you are correct in my opinion as well. I applaud your decision.
If we want to use paypal then we should be willing to be honest about it and a small fee is worth the convenience alone in my mind. As a business, I will pay somebody to use their service and paypal is affordable and secure.

Ranger, I don't like to judge folks but this seems strange. Paypal does offer protection but a headache still can cause pain. Not sure why we need 3-4 registrations, but as long as Rob D knows then that offers comfort as well.
I would probably pass on the deal though.

Does it matter if you get paid?
