? for Bear Experts/Collectors
« on: September 04, 2007, 09:06:00 PM »
I have a chance to trade and or purchase a Bear K mag(I think anyway) 48" 50# from my neighbor. It has a very wide riser, and an almost bulbous grip. The colors are a dark green with a reddish stripe, black glass. It has a few scuffs across the riser, Im guessing from a crested arrow or two. They look as if they would come off easily. The finish is pretty decent with a few "crackles" on the limbs. The upper limb is slighly twisted, and I mean very slightly. Easily fixed Im sure.
I held this bow, I drew this bow back. In short, I think I fell in lust...
Any info you can gleam from my description would be appreciated. I am trading an old wheelie for it possibly, but if that falls through what would be a decent price? Again thanks in advance.

Sounds like a mid-seventies Super Mag. Trade your wheels for it. I dunno about prices. I don't like to think about bows and money with the same brain cell.

Thanks Killdeer. I hear ya. I first saw this bow and told myself to remember the dedcals, serial # etc etc. Drew it back a few times and it all blurred. It does have a stabilizer insert and is drilled and/or tapped for a sight/quiver too....forgot to mention that up above.

sounds like a 70's model Super Mag to me. I would say that its in the price range of $100-$150

48"...bulbous grip?   It's a Supermag, like Killy said.

Yup once ya get near 28"s it pinches but they are pretty quick little bows and I believe ya do not draw a full 28"s so it should be good for ya. If the compound is more than 5 years old trade him even, if not have him give ya afew bucks and the bow. Shawn
