Yes it was an adventure. No modern stuff except a camera. No matches, no plastic, no nothing that wasn't around in 1750. Our route was 100 miles along the north shore of Lake Superior in an area that is all Provincial Park. No settlement, the area is just like it was 2 or 3 hundred years ago. We had a close call when we were too far off shore and a storm came up very fast. We made it to shore by the Grace of God and a lot of luck. Surfing on White Caps... one stroke of the paddle when the water is right at the gunnel and the next stroke you have to bend down to reach the water.   :scared: ...mighty scary

Our Canoe was a replica of a 26' North Canoe. a type that was used by Voyagers to transport trade goods by river and lakes. We had a 5 man crew and the canoe had a mast and sail that came in handy when the wind was right.

Did you make the Canoe yourself? Did you hunt for your own food or did you bring some.  Man what an adventure, do you still keep in contact with any of those guys now?

Just received my 18oz Longhunter shirt and hood in the mail. Just what the doctor ordered. Its 80 degree outside today. Makes me glad I ordered the 18 oz shirt and not the 25 oz. Thanks Ron for a good product and super customer service.

I use a Swanndri bush shirt personally. You can sometimes find them on **** for pretty cheap.

The sashes are 100% homespun Wool and they are beautiful. They will sure compliment the Longhunter shirts. I'll try to get a picture of them up soon.
